Howdy! the name’s zoe!
Good to meet ya! I’m a storyteller, journalist, editor, and local music/art/cheese danish enthusiast.
I currently serve as editor of the Art Focus magazine for the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition, co-edit the local music zine UMAmi, and write for Oklahoma Today and Free Press OKC. With hundreds of published pieces, this portfolio highlights just some of the stories I’ve been lucky enough to be trusted with over the years.
Cheers! 🥂
I have worked for various publications like OkSessions and Make Oklahoma Weirder, publishing content all about the incredible Oklahoma music scene. I've interviewed musicians such as John Calvin Abney, Keathley, and Mad Honey and music professionals like Flaming Lips manager Scott Booker about their work, among many other incredible people in the industry.
I have written news articles for several publications over the years, including Oklahoma City Free Press and the Gayly, covering a variety of feature articles and breaking news stories. Click the link to check out some of my favorite stories covered over the years.
Check out my recent radio and video work for a behind-the-scenes look at the stories I’ve helped bring to life—from comedy shorts and music videos to interviews, awareness campaigns, and creative films. I’ve also reported for NPR member station KOSU and worked with Next Generation Radio on topics like domestic violence, politics, and the environment. Click the link to hear more!
