Howdy! the name’s zoe!

I’m a storyteller and writer with work published in Make Oklahoma Weirder, Free Press OKC, and Oklahoma Today. Currently, I freelance for both Free Press OKC and Oklahoma Today, and I serve as the editor of the Metropolitan Library System’s monthly magazine, Info Mag, while also co-editing the music zine UMAmi.

In addition to these roles, I have experience in radio, video, social media management, web design, and print journalism. My writing covers a broad range of topics, from music and politics to events and more. With hundreds of published pieces across various platforms, I’m excited to share my work through this digital portfolio.

Cheers! 🥂

I have worked for various publications like OkSessions and Make Oklahoma Weirder, publishing content all about the incredible Oklahoma music scene. I've interviewed musicians such as John Calvin Abney, Keathley, and Mad Honey and music professionals like Flaming Lips manager Scott Booker about their work, among many other incredible people in the industry.

I’ve worked for local NPR member station KOSU as a radio reporter and worked with the program Next Generation Radio doing stories about environmental issues, domestic violence, local politics, and more. Click the link to listen to me chat about these issues!

Check out all my recent video work including comedy shorts, an interview with City Councilman James Cooper, local music videos, a few videos about domestic violence awareness, educational and promotional videos, and a couple of creative short films!

I have written news articles for several publications over the years, including Oklahoma City Free Press and the Gayly, covering a variety of feature articles and breaking news stories. Click the link to check out some of my favorite stories covered over the years.
